Your mental health!

Anyone who has been following my journey may already know about my struggles with anxiety, panic attacks and depression. Like so many of you, I suffered in silence, and when I reached the end of the line, the lowest of lows, and spoke up, I was met with judgement and anger. I realized then that if I was going to get through this and live a relatively "normal" life, it was going to be up to me to ensure that happened. There is no easy recovery, there is no "one size fits all" answer. We are all unique individuals and all have different issues and differing reasons for being where we are right now. What I want you to know is, you can do this, you can get the right help and support, and you can recover and live a more fulfilling life. The reason I know this, is because I have lived it, and continue to live it every day. Believe me, there are still days where I struggle and I'm sure I always will, but there is more joy in my life now, reasons to get up in the morning and make the most of my time here.

My journey has taken my from the UK to Canada, and this adjustment was tough. There were so many changes, I was so homesick and had so many questions; had we made the right decision to come here? What had we put our kids through? I was constantly questioning myself and constantly doubting myself and without ever realizing I slipped into a deep depression. My life changed the day that I saw Lucinda Bassett on a daytime TV show, and her story resinated so much with me. I immediately left the house and drove to Chapters to purchase her book "Life without limits" and I believe this was the start of my recovery journey. Just knowing that someone else had felt the same way as me, had the same fears and issues, was in some way comforting. Reading her book made me feel less alone, and I began to think that perhaps I wasn't going insane. The recovery was long and hard, with so many setbacks, and with little to no support. This is why "you know you best" came about. I wanted to find a way to be able to tell my story so that others would realize they are not alone. You don't need to continue being stuck or spiralling downwards, there are resources out there and I can help you find them. Maybe you just need some help and support to get moving forward in life, this is something that can be resolved with life coaching. Perhaps you are dealing with much deeper issues, relating to your past, and I can help you find the right therapist to help you. My life coaching practice focuses on the here and now, and finding your path forward. I can provide support, guidance, empowerment, and accountability, which undoubtedly you are lacking right now.

Mental health and helping those inflicted has become a passion of mine and my goal is to help as many people as possible through my life coaching practice. I would love to have the opportunity to work with you, and if this resonates with you, I urge you to contact me for a "free, no obligation" consultation. My wish for you is that you live a happy and fulfilled life!
